The Game

At Gray-Nicolls we pride ourselves on working with elite cricketers around the world. From the UK to Australia, India to South Africa, a who’s who of international players have used Gray-Nicolls cricket bats throughout history.

The likes of Sir Alastair Cook, Matthew Hayden, David Gower, Barry Richards, Rachel Heyhoe Flint, WG Grace and countless others have used the brand with distinction over the last century, and now a new generation continue to dominate with the red flash.

So who are the players wielding the Gray-Nicolls this season? Let’s break it down by bat family (the way we categorise our different designs).

Havoc

One of our most eye-catching designs for a long time, the Havoc cricket bat promises handspeed and power, with 360 degree hitting as standard.

Havoc 1.0 is used by England star Ollie Pope, Sam Billings and under 19 skipper Tom Rew, alongside West Indies batter Alick Athanaze.

Meanwhile, the Havoc 317 is the bat specifically designed for England white ball skipper Harry Brook, following his remarkable rise to the top of world cricket.

Imperia

The new Imperia 1.0 is used by some of the most stylish players in the modern game. Zak Crawley, Kusal Mendis and up-and-coming star Ben McKinney have dominated in recent times, powered by the Imperia’s low-middle and mighty edges.

Other players shaping up in Imperia this year include England all-rounder Gus Atkinson, South Africa batter David Bedingham, Durham ‘keeper Ollie Robinson.

GEM

Our women’s specific GEM range features a who’s who of the female game. Modern day icons Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight lead the way alongside England stars Sophia Dunkley, Maia Bouchier and Emma Lamb.

Alongside them, Ellie Threlkeld, Rhianna Southby, and Scotland stars Sarah and Kathryn Bryce and making waves with GEM in hand.

Overseas stars

So far we’ve focused on the Gray-Nicolls cricketers that use the UK range, but a host of icons from down under also wield the famous red flash.

Australia’s Gray-Nicolls cohort includes incredible talents such as Ashes icon Travis Head, Cam Green, Beau Webster, Mitch Marsh and Marcus Stoinis.

On the women’s side Tahlia McGrath, Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Voll continue to light up the game across all formats.

Meanwhile across the water, Melie Kerr is the leading star in New Zealand cricket right now, supported by sister Jess, and Georgia Plimmer.

Daryl Mitchell has risen to the top of the ODI rankings with his Gray-Nicolls Fusion, while Tim Robinson, Henry Nicholls, and the best in New Zealand history Kane Williamson continue to represent the brand with great distinction.
