The Families
Every year we create two new families to be the core cricket bat collection for Gray-Nicolls. Over the past few years we’ve had the likes of Stratos, Ventus, Vapour, Alpha and Hypernova. This year, our two new families are called Havoc and Imperia, with GEM continuing with a fresh design.

Havoc and Imperia have multiple grades which descend through price points based on cosmetics and performance potential. The very top end of the grading is Players Edition, which promises pristine looking willow with multiple straight grains. As you move down the grades bats will have a few blemishes with fewer grains. Although all our bats are pressed in the same way to ensure optimum performance of lower grade bats may take slightly longer to achieve.
Havoc and Imperia both have alternate colourways to give cricketers the most choice possible. Imperia 1.0 is predominantly red and black, while Imperia 1.1 is a stunning yellow colourway – a real point of difference.
Havoc 1.0 is the core bat in the family, with beautiful blue design. It has two alternates; the 1.3 has become a staple in our range and features an eye catching green design used by our Pakistan internationals.

The other alternate colourway is our Havoc HB317 – our bat dedicated to global sensation Harry Brook. Featuring the blue and yellow colours synonymous with Leeds and Yorkshire, the Havoc 317 is used exclusive by England’s white ball captain.
GEM continues following its successful history, and this season gets two colourways from the start in 3.0 and 3.1. For those new to our range, GEM sizes vary slightly to our standard short handle bats. The handle length remains the same but the blade is ¼ inch shorter and a slightly narrower face.
LITE BATS
Our popular Lite bats feature the same size set-up as Ollie Pope, but in the respective shape of our families. Pope prefers to use a bat with a ¾ inch shorter blade and ¾ inch longer handle, a set-up that has served him superbly well. Now you can get the same set up which also features no face, toe guard and lightweight chevron grip to keep weight as low as possible.
SuperLite
Our SuperLite models once again fit into our core families but are based on our traditional GEM sizing. This means a ¼ inch shorter blade, short handle and 105mm face width. It’s all about reducing weight without losing size – perfect if you are all about pick-up.

350 Grade – ideal for youth
Our 350 forms part of each family. The bats feature a smaller profile with weight the key focus. We picked this grade as absolutely ideal for youth cricketers making the step up to full size bats. With weights between 2lb 60z - 2lb 8oz, these should be perfect for young cricketers.
