As with all balls in the Crest range, the ball is machine stitched, giving a consistent finish with a high-quality thread. This should ensure the ball retains its shape for a long time, in a match and subsequently as a spare or net ball.
We've used a cork and rubber combination for the core of the ball. This still delivers high performance and long lasting hardness, but the material allows us to keep the price of the ball slightly lower.
The ball's four-piece construction gives bowlers more chance to swing the ball for longer – something will no doubt please fielding teams as we seek to make a fair battle between bat and ball.
A durable, lacquered finish has been used to ensure the long life of the Crest 3 Star cricket ball, while the grade 2 chrome tanned leather gives the ball a beautiful red colouring.
