Supernova 200 Cricket Bat
Have you ever had a cricket bat which you thought had magic powers? One that just did things that others didn't? Found gaps, cleared fields, made the sort of noise that makes passing-by cars divert their attention. If you pick up the Supernova InfraRed 200 bat, you'll experience all those things and more.
Why does this bat have apparent mythical qualities? From top to bottom, aesthetic to performance, this cricket bat is one of the best. The Supernova InfraRed 200 features a large sweet spot promising immense power – a middle that is made to look even more prominent by the iconic red sticker that sweeps down the spine of the bat – a nod to Gray-Nicolls heritage, and future.
The key to the Supernova's appeal is the craftsmanship that has gone into designing the range. With the aim to allow batsmen to generate maximum hand speed through the ball and find even the most microscopic gaps in the field, our master bat makers have contoured and shaped this bat to perfection, finally resting after an exhaustive 12-month process.
The Supernova Infrared 200 is a great cricket bat for school or age-group cricket, delivering both power and poise. It comes in sizes four all the way to short handle, meaning all batsmen will benefit no matter where they are in their growth journey.
Dynamic red and black face stickers pair combine with the iconic Gray-Nicolls chequerboard design to bring you a design that marries our past, present and future, showing our ability to stay relevant in the modern game.
The Supernova InfraRed 200 cricket bat is from grade 4 English willow. Your blade will feature minor blemishes and looser, less frequent grains, but you'll score so many runs with it you won't mind about that. The Extratec finish will give your willow an extra layer of protection, and you added peace of mind.

How do I care for my bat?
We recommend knocking your cricket bat in before use. You may also want to add a layer of linseed oil. Store your bat in a dry place when not in use.
See our blog on how to care for your new cricket bat including tips on adding linseed oil and replacing scuff sheets here.
How do I knock my bat in?
Using an old ball in a sock or a Deluxe Bat Mallet, hit the face of your cricket bat to condition the wood. You can also hit the edges of the bat with glancing blows, and gently hit the toe. You do not need to knock in the splice (top) of the bat.
