Shockwave Players Cricket Bat
Take the traditional image of a quaint cricket match on a quintessential village green. Add in a sprinkling of cream cakes and ripples of applause. Now smash them all to smithereens with the new Shockwave by Gray-Nicolls – a cricket bat for the modern player in the modern game.
The Shockwave bat is loud, aggressive and is the bat for the T20 era, the piece of willow that puts Gray-Nicolls at the forefront of the cricket revolution. Worry not about getting out, worry about how many sixes you can hit while you are batting.
Promising a high middle and pronounced swell, the Shockwave is the ideal partner in crime for a batsman looking to cause maximum damage. This cricket bat enables you to both stand and deliver, taking the ball on-the-up, clearing the in-field – and the rope – with total confidence.
Intimidating edges ensure that even if you don't quite find the middle, the ball will still find its way to the boundary, leaving bowlers around the world exasperated.
Possibly our boldest sticker design in a generation, the Shockwave's fractured look draws focus to sweet-spot, with the jagged graphics adding to imposing feel and promise of impending carnage.
As with all Gray-Nicolls designs, the Shockwave was honed over months of research and design, and developed with some of our leading cricketers including Alex Hales and Joe Clarke. Their input is crucial, allowing us to create cricket bats that suit the demand for a game that changes more rapidly by the year.
Made with the finest English willow, the Shockwave promises clean wood, tightly packed grains, and a guarantee to turn heads when you walk to the crease.
With bat sizes from 5 through to short handle, there is a Shockwave Players cricket bat for everyone.

How do I care for my bat?
We recommend knocking your cricket bat in before use. You may also want to add a layer of linseed oil. Store your bat in a dry place when not in use.
See our blog on how to care for your new cricket bat including tips on adding linseed oil and replacing scuff sheets here.
How do I knock my bat in?
Using an old ball in a sock or a Deluxe Bat Mallet, hit the face of your cricket bat to condition the wood. You can also hit the edges of the bat with glancing blows, and gently hit the toe. You do not need to knock in the splice (top) of the bat.
What size bat do I need?
