Essex announce Gray-Nicolls as new kit supplier

Essex Cricket can today announce a three-year agreement which will see Gray-Nicolls becoming the County's new official kit supplier.
With the combination of heritage and innovation by Gray-Nicolls the new partnership will launch with three new replica shirts ahead of the 2012 season.  In the next few weeks Essex Members and supporters will be able to show their pride and prove the only way really is Essex.
The new replica shirts will be seen on the backs of the Essex team for both the 2012 and 2013 seasons.  In addition to their new whites Essex will have a modern looking red Clydesdale Bank 40 shirt before airing the expected best-seller Friends Life t20 shirts.
Essex supporters will, for the first time, be able to personalise their shirt with the name & number of their favourite player.

Gray-Nicolls Sales & Marketing Director, Richard Gray, commented, "Everyone at Gray-Nicolls is very proud to have been selected by Essex Cricket as their official clothing supplier.  This is a true testament to the quality of Gray-Nicolls clothing and its reputation on the professional circuit; where it is already the choice of Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire and Yorkshire CCCs.  Gray-Nicolls have had enjoyed a long and successful relationship with a number of star Essex players over the years (including most recently Nasser Hussein and Alastair Cook) so it is particularly fitting that we are now able to become official sponsors of the club."
Danny Macklin, Essex Cricket Commercial Manager, "Naturally we are all delighted with having a new first-class replica clothing partner in the form of Gray Nicolls.  A number of our leading players including Alastair Cook are already using Gray Nicolls bats and playing equipment.  We are now looking forward to the official launch of our new replica kits and training wear to the Essex."
"With the support from one of the most regarded cricket suppliers the Sport@Essex shop and mail order catalogue will also be re-branded as Essex Cricket Retail."
Kelly Dewes, Essex Cricket Retail Manager added, "We have been working hard behind the scenes with Gray Nicolls in the design of our replica clothing and training wear and look forward to taking delivery of our 2012-2013 ranges".
Essex Cricket Retail shop is located at The Ford County Ground, Chelmsford and is open all year round, Monday to Saturday and 24 hours a day via www.essexcricket.org.uk
